An outdoor nature space that invites you to stay and spend the night. Located directly on the Hærvejen cycling and hiking route. You can let the tranquility settle into your body with the beautiful forest as your closest neighbor and make use of nearby town facilities if needed.
The area offers several shelters and tent spots, including:
Two small lockable shelters (each with 2 sleeping spots) – perfect for cyclists and hikers seeking a safe and secure overnight stay.
Accessible shelter with 4 sleeping spots – specially designed for guests with reduced mobility, including wheelchair-friendly surfaces and access to aids such as a lifting hoist and transfer sling, as well as easy access to the toilet, campfire site, and picnic shelter.
Tent area – booking is not required for tents, but a fee per person per night must be paid via MobilePay on site.
In total, the shelter site accommodates up to 12 people.
The site is designed with a strong focus on accessibility and includes:

Price: DKK 30 per person per night + booking fee
You book one sleeping spot at a time – if you want the entire shelter for yourself, all spots must be booked
Tents do not require booking, but payment per person is still required via MobilePay
After booking, you will receive a confirmation email with all relevant information about the site and the surrounding area. You can expect a friendly visit from one of the local site managers during your stay, who may ask to see your booking receipt.
The shelter site is established and maintained by local volunteers in collaboration with the Nørre Snede Local Council, with support from Ikast-Brande Municipality, the Nordea Foundation, and local businesses.
All proceeds from bookings go directly to the operation and maintenance of the site.
